The End   

 

In Dead Earnest

If I should die before I wake

All my bone in sin you take

Put me in the compost pile

To decompose me for a while

Worms and time will have their way

Returning me to common clay

All that I am will feed the trees

And little fishies in the seas

My Birch Tree
When I planted this tree it was just a sapling.
I watched it grow into a big beautiful tree.
It got sick.  And it died.
Now this is all that's left

"Thomas Jefferson still survives"

He was wrong. Thomas Jefferson died the same day, July 4th, 1826, 50 years after signing the Declaration of Independence.


Thomas Jefferson:

"This is the fourth?"

He died on the 4th of July, 1826
